Business Office FAQ's

Q:  If I sign my child up for music, dance or full-time Kid's Time after my first tuition statement is received, when will the charges be due?
A
As soon as the charge is applied to your child's account you will see the charges on your next statement. If you have a yearly tuition payment plan, the fee will be due in full by the 1st of the following month. If you have a quarterly tuition payment plan, the fee will be divided evenly between the remaining payments left on your payment plan. If you have a monthly payment plan, the fee will be divided evenly between the remaining payments left on your payment plan and added automatically to your bank draft.

Q:  How will miscellaneous charges be processed?
A:  Student accounts will collect the various miscellaneous charges that occur during the school year. These charges will be reflected on your child's tuition statement. Statements will be processed on a monthly basis, as frequently as necessary whenever miscellaneous charges are incurred. These statements are emailed to parents monthly.

Q:  When will payment of miscellaneous charges be due?
A
:  Payment of miscellaneous charges is due upon receipt of the statement. Charges are due on the 1st of the month following receipt of the statement and are considered late after the 10th of the month. Late fees will apply to unpaid incidental charges each month they remain unpaid.

Q:  Is there a penalty or late charge if payment of miscellaneous charges is not made on time and in full?

A:  Yes, a late fee of 5% will be assessed if payment is not received by the 10th of the month.

Q:
Please explain the bank draft for parents who pay monthly.
A:  Parents may go to the GACS website to enroll in the bank draft program.  FACTS Management will make all withdrawals from a customer’s bank account and then electronically deposit the amount to the GACS bank account. The school will apply payments directly to the GACS student account when the funds are received. Greater Atlanta usually receives the funds within 7 days of the bank draft.

Q:  What day of the month will funds be withdrawn from my account if I have a monthly payment plan?

A:  FACTS will deduct the money on the same date each month depending on which date you select when you register with FACTS. If your bank draft date falls on a weekend or holiday, your account will be drafted the following business day.

Q:  Can I send a check to Student Accounts each month instead of enrolling with FACTS for withdrawals?

A:  No, the monthly pay plan is administered only through FACTS. You may choose the yearly or quarterly payment option to pay by check if you don't want to enroll in the monthly plan.

Q:  Can I sign up now before I know how much my payments will be for next year?

A:  Yes, FACTS needs the bank information no later than April 1.  This will assure there is no problem when GACS transmits the forms. GAC will send a statement a few weeks before the May deduction occurs. The GACS statement will notify you prior to when the first transaction is made.

Q:  What information do I need to have available when I visit the FACTS registration page?

A:  The student ID (also called a record ID) from a recent tuition statement, student graduation year, and information from your check such as the routing number and account number.

Q:  When will FACTS collect the required $38 bank draft processing fee?

A:  This payment will be drafted from your account approximately 2-4 weeks before the first normal bank draft transaction is made. This fee is incurred one time per year as you enroll with FACTS.

Q:  Who do I contact to inquire about or dispute a charge on my statement?
A:   If you are being charged a fee from a club or sport, please contact the activity director for an explanation as these fees are submitted by them. Should you be unable to resolve your issue don't hesitate to contact student accounts at
770-243-2216 or 2217, or e-mail studentaccounts@greateratlantachristian.org .
