Healthcare and Dental Benefits

Quality and affordability are key components in Greater Atlanta Christian’s (GAC) medical and dental plans.    GAC offers two comprehensive medical plans (Consumer-Driven and HMO) through Coventry.    GAC’s dental care program is through Principal Financial Group with full coverage for preventative care and substantial coverage for a wide range of other dental services.

GAC offers an additional voluntary healthcare plan through Central United Life with coverage for catastrophic illness, like cancer.   Since the likelihood is high that the average person will be faced with a catastrophic illness in their lifetime, GAC goes the extra step to help provide peace of mind to employees in those situations.

Although GAC’s insurance plans are competitively priced, GAC provides additional financial support  with its unique Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) and Dental/Vision Fund programs.   Under the HRA program, out-of-pocket medical expenses toward the annual deductible may qualify for non-taxable reimbursement.  With the Dental/Vision Fund, GAC provides monies toward out-of-pocket dental and vision care expenses.  GAC also offers a Flexible Spending Arrangement (FSA) program for out-of-pocket medical expenses that may qualify for non-taxable reimbursement.   It’s three more ways that GAC tries to minimize the financial impact of illness or even routine medical care on employees. The HRA and FSA (healthcare and dependent care) plans are administered through MedCom.

Please remember – this site has been designed to acquaint you with the general features of the GAC benefit plans.   Every attempt has been made to summarize these programs accurately.    In all cases, the actual provisions of each benefit plan will determine if there is any inconsistency between this site and GAC’s benefit plans or contracts.
