How to Apply 

Greater Atlanta Christian School welcomes qualified applicants without regard to race, religion, gender, or national or ethnic origin.  GAC seeks students who are mission-minded, motivated, and excited about learning and who contribute to and benefit from the exceptional academic environment offered here.


  1. If you haven't already done so, schedule a visit to tour our campus.  We look forward to showing you what GAC has to offer your family.

  2. Generate a username and password on Infosnap.  This will allow you to have access to our online application.

  3. Once you receive your username and password via email, you may begin completing the online application

  4. For applicants in grades K3-5: Submit the $80 non-refundable application fee and the $80 non-refundable testing fee as part of the online application process.
    For applicants in grades 6-12: Submit the $80 non-refundable application fee as part of the online application process.  See #7 below for specific instructions regarding testing.

  5. Submit online recommendations to your teacher and church via our secure third party resource School Recs beginning October 15.  You may watch a quick demo.  If you do not currently have a church home, contact Mary Helen Bryant.  
    K3-K5: Teacher recommendation required only if your child is currently attending another program
    Grades 1-5: Teacher recommendation completed by child's current teacher
    Grades 6-12: Teacher recommendation completed by one of your child's current teachers. 

  6. Grades 1-12: Print and complete a transcript request form and submit to your current school beginning October 15.

  7. Complete the appropriate admissions testing/observation (someone from GAC will contact parents to set up time/date for applicants in grades K3-5):
    K3-K4: Observation, conducted by GAC kindergarten teachers 
    K5: Kindergarten readiness test, administered by GAC kindergarten teachers
    Grade 1: The Stanford Test, administered by GAC staff
    Grades 2-5: The California Achievement Test (CAT), administered by GAC staff
    Grades 6-12: The Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT), administered nationwide.  Greater Atlanta Christian School is a testing site for the SSAT.  Parents and/or students must register and pay (currently $120) via the SSAT website  Please ask for scores to be sent to GAC using our school code 3525.

  8. For applicants in grades 3-12: Schedule an optional Shadow Visit after you have submitted an online application by completing the Shadow Visit Request form based on your child's current grade: Current  3-4 Grade, Current 5-8th grade, or Current 9-11 grade Shadow Request.  One of the school Administrative Assistants will contact parents directly to confirm your child's Shadow Visit.  Visits begin in October.  (Current eighth grade students spend a portion of the day in Junior High with eighth grade and a portion of the day in High School).

You may check the status of your application by accessing your created Infosnap account.  Visit the site to view your outstanding items in your Admissions portfolio.  Please note: the checklist can be viewed in its most up-to-date status by signing into your Infosnap account using the email address and password you established to complete the online application.

While we accept qualified applicants throughout the year provided there is space available, we encourage early application submission and completion.  Our online application for the 2014-15 academic year will be available the first week of September.  As members of Atlanta Area Association of Independent Schools (AAAIS), we adhere to the acceptance notification date of early April 2014 (exact date TBD).
