Frequently Asked Questions

If you have additional questions, please contact Mary Helen Bryant, Admissions Officer, at or 770-243-2274.

When can my family visit Greater Atlanta Christian School (GAC)?
The best time to visit GAC is while school is in session and the campus is alive with activity.  But, we are glad to schedule a campus visit anytime during the year.  We offer "Toursday" visits most Tuesdays and Open House events throughout the school year.  Learn more about Toursday and Open House events.

Into which grades does GAC accept students?
We accept qualified students into grades K3-12 as space permits.

When can I apply?
Online applications are available the first week of September for the following academic year.  While GAC does offer rolling admissions (we are able to accept qualified candidates throughout the year, provided there is space available), beginning the process early will help make the process go as smoothly and stress-free as possible.

What transportation does GAC offer for students?
We offer affordable bus transportation to/from several metro-Atlanta areas.

Is Financial Aid available?
We offer needs-based financial aid to candidates who qualify.

How diverse is GAC's student body?
The GAC community represents a broad range of diverse students in different geographies, socioeconomic and ethnic groups, religion, and race.  Students of color represent 32% of our student body.

Do you have a before-school and after-school program?
Yes.  Before-school supervision and after-school care are available for students in grades K3-5.  GAC strives to serve the needs of parents by providing care in a loving and safe Christian environment.  Children are grouped by age and engage in activities that encourage creativity, social relationships, appropriate behavior and positive self-image.  Daily activities include snack time, homework period, organized and supervised play, and theme-centered activities.

Discovery Activities, extra-curricular enrichment programs, are also avaiable to students in grades K3-8 after school.

Is there a uniform policy?
Yes.  All students in grades K3-12 are required to wear uniforms.  All uniforms may be purchased conveniently at the Spartan Store, located in the Student Family Center.

What are the age requirements for students at GAC?

The cut-off date for specific grade entry is the child's age on or before September 1.  For example, a child must be 3 years old on or before September 1 in order to be considered for our K3 program.
